Canvassing in the sunshine
April 8, 2009This week we’ve started canvassing in the ward. Hopefully, at some stage, you’ll see us around and about with blue rossettes on so if you see us then do say hello and come and have a chat!
As ever it is difficult to get around everyone in the ward but we’ll work on it. We have over 10,000 electors in the patch – so no small task. If you have any particular issues you’d like to raise drop me an email and we’ll come and canvass your patch. Richard Shepherd MP will also be joining us as and when he can.

Shame that you had the communication meeting on Maundy Thursday. Most Christians are preparing for Good Friday so would have been unable to attend
Agreed. Having Council meetings on Maundy Thursday isn’t on. Sadly I don’t set the civic calendar.
I would have thought that councillors would have had some input into dates but one person is not a majority. Ce la vie.
A couple of thoughts
1. I would have thought that the council web-site would have said when the place was open for business. Today is not a bank holiday but the Civic Centre is closed. Not helpful when I made a specific journey from Willenhall to undertake some business with the council.
2. When I lived in Chuckery Walsall Pride was delivered once in three years. We moved to Willenhall last June and have not had it delivered at all. How effective is it as a means of communication? Free newspapers are no better – we don’t get them at all.
